Background to the Appointment

Our client is searching for a Marketing Director to augment their growing team. Reporting to the MD, the successful candidate will champion brand development, and growth of the business, while ensuring the integrity of company image across all channels, internal and external. Leading a team to deliver relevant and consistent high-quality creative content, on time and within budget. This newly created position demands creativity, passion and strategic thinking.

Although our client is an established business, their recent significant growth demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, more akin to that of a start-up. They are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and a roll-your-sleeves-up mentality.

As Marketing Director you’ll be part of a dynamic and aligned Senior Leadership Team who work collaboratively toward common goals, the most important being to deliver patient/customer delight every day.

OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Responsible for all marketing and sales activities across the Group, requiring a high degree of sensitivity given the high value, invasive nature of the treatment they deliver. Managing a team in marketing and patient coordination, along with several external agencies, the role is to lead enquiry and income generation across B2B and B2C channels, always looking for ways to increase high quality enquiries, improve conversions, and reduce the cost of acquisition, so more can be reinvested in advanced technology and further expansion.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Become the brand champion, transforming lives, ensuring their rightful position as market leader in this unique niche.
  • Ongoing development of a marketing and sales plan that aligns with the annual budgeting process.
  • Support and guide the existing in-house marketing team, providing strategic leadership in line with the business’s growth plans and financial targets, as well as being hands on with some of the day-to-day marketing activities such as creative and occasional graphic design input.
  • Assume responsibility for clinic income targets agreed annually as part of the budgeting process and maximise surgical utilisation in concert with operations and clinical teams.
  • Further improve existing marketing activity, making it competitive in the market and driving traffic to the patient coordination team (sales), utilising a comprehensive suite of on and offline marketing tools, accurately tracking and reporting ROI.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role you will need a clearly demonstrable track record in marketing and sales of high value, niche healthcare markets, ideally elective, sensitive, and invasive healthcare solutions. Although other similar experiences may be considered transferable and relevant.

Other important skills and experience would be:

  • Strong marketing background with a rounded creative skill set
  • Worked in a management position for 5+ years and possess demonstrable leadership skills to get the best out of your team, while ensuring an incredible culture.
  • Share the same values of customer centricity, empathy, integrity, efficiency and always striving for the optimum clinical outcomes for patients.
  • Experience of flexible business travel.

LOCATION

The role is full time and offers flexible working that combines home working with time visiting national clinics to ensure brand consistency and connectedness with the team at the forefront of the customer experience.

Candidates will live Central England as a general guide, somewhere within the boundary of the following motorway links: M4, M5, M6, M62 and M1.
